    1. He began his basketball journey at Proleter Zrenjanin in 1989.
    2. At the age of 15, Bodiroga was already 2.05 m tall.
    3. Dejan shifted to Zadar at the age of 17.
    4. He was about to leave basketball because of the Yugoslav wars.
    5. Despite Bodiroga had offers from AEK and Olympiacos, he decided to continue his career at Stefanel Trieste, a team coached by Bogdan Tanjevic.
    6. In his first year with Stefanel, Bodiroga averaged 21.3 points per game after playing 30 league matches.
    7. He shifted to the Spanish side Real Madrid before the start of 1996-1997 basketball season. Bodiroga penned a deal worth 1 million dollars. At the time, Real was led by the Serbian trainer Zeljko Obradovic.
    8. In the period from 1998 until 2002, Bodiroga competed for the Greek team Panathinaikos. He managed to lift the Euroleague trophy twice during the 1998-1999 and 2001-2002 seasons.
    9. Dejan moved to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2002. There, he achieved two domestic league titles and 1 Euroleague title which was the first one in Barcelona’s history.
    10. In 2007, he finished his basketball career playing for the Italian team Lottomatica Roma.
    11. Bodiroga officially retired from professional basketball on June 8, 2007.
    12. In June 2007, he became the general manager of Lottomatica Roma. Dejan left his position after two years in June 2009.
    13. Dejan Bodiroga is the second cousin of the famous Croatian basketball player Drazen Petrovic. Drazen lost his life in a car accident on June 7, 1993.
